The Saint-Côme d'Olt "village fair" occurs by the end of august, next to the last Sunday of the month. This day is very important for the inhabitants. Most of them and a hundred of people coming from the "Events Committee" celebrate this event and involve themselves in its realisation. On that occasion, each inhabitant searches all over his house to find out the necessary materials for the booths and cars decoration. |

Mix of ideas, creativity and exchange, the work of all these people is rewarded when the streets are overcrowded with visitors this Sunday's afternoon. But beyond festivity, this Day permits the inhabitants to meet, exchange and share happy and unique moments with the visitors. |
The main treated subjects are relative to the culture, history and former crafts. The inhabitants have a special attachment to their history, but for the past 3 years, the "Events Committee" decided to develop more actual subjects such as the future, the cinema or comics. For the year 1999, the subject was "Between past and future". This year, it will be "Advertising". |
